Darn women drivers!!

I know everyone reading this will enjoy it - no matter which sex you are.

This morning on the Interstate,
I looked over to my left and there was a

Woman

In a brand new
Cadillac

Doing 75 mph

With her
Face
, up next to her

r
ear view mirror

Putting on her eyeliner.

I looked away

f
or a couple seconds!

And when I looked back she was

h
 alfway over in my lane,

s
 till working on that makeup.

As a man,

I don't scare easily.

But she sca
r ed me so much;

I dropped

My electric shaver
,

w
 hich knocked

The donut

Out of my other hand.

In all

t
 he confusion of trying

t
 o straighten out the car

u
sing my knees against

the steering wheel,

it knocked

my cell
 phone

away from my ear
,

which fell
,

into the coffee

between my legs,

splashed,

and burned

Big Jim and the Twins,

ruined the damn phone,

soaked my trousers,

and disconnected an
important call.

Darn women dr
ivers!!

what's the problem...

that we have with Iran's horticultural aspirations...what's the problem with their efforts concerning Geranium enrichment...I mean, if they want to improve the quality of their flowers that should be their perogative and no one elses...leave them to their efforts and quit pestering them...

2008 Darwin Awards!!!

You've been waiting for them with bated breath, so without
further ado here are the 2008  Darwin Awards............

Eighth
Place
In Detroit , a 41-year-old man got stuck and drowned
in two feet of water after squeezing head first through an
18-inch-wide
sewer grate to retrieve his car keys.

Seventh Place
A
49-year-old San Francisco stockbroker, who 'totally zoned when
he ran,'
accidentally, jogged off a 100-foot high cliff on his daily
run.

Sixth Place
While at the beach, Daniel Jones, 21,
dug an 8 foot hole for protection from the wind and had been
sitting in
a beach chair at the bottom! When it t collapsed, burying him
beneath 5
feet of sand. People on the beach used their hands and shovels
trying to
get him out but co uld not reach him. It took rescue wor kers
using heavy
equipment almost an hour to free him. Jones was pronounced dead
at a
hospital.

Fifth Place
Santiago Alvarado, 24, was killed
as he fell through the ceiling of a bicycle shop he was
burglarizing.
Death was caused when the long flashlight he had placed in his
mouth to
keep his hands free rammed into the base of his skull as he hit
the
floor.

Fourth Place
Sylvester Briddell, Jr., 26, was
killed as he won a bet with friends who said he would not put a
revolver
loaded with four bullets into his mouth and pull the
trigger.

Third Place
After stepping around a marked
police patrol car parked at the front door, a man walked into
H&J
Leather & Firearms intent on robbing the store. The shop was
full of
customers and a uniformed officer was standing at the counter.
Upon
seeing the officer, the would-be robber announced a hold-up! and
fired a
few wild shots from a target pistol. The officer and a clerk
promptly
returned fire, and several customers also drew their guns and
fired. The
robber was pronounced dead at the scene by Paramedics. Crime
scene
investigators locat ed 47 expended cartridge cases in the shop.
The
subsequent autopsy revealed 23 gunshot wounds. Ballistics
identified
rounds from 7 different weapons. No one else was
hurt.

HONOURABLE MENTION
Paul Stiller, 47, and his wife
Bonnie were bored just driving around at 2 A.M. so they lit a
quarter
stick of dynamite to toss out the window to see what would
happen.
Apparently they failed to notice the window was closed.

RUNNER
UP

Kerry Bingham had been drinking with several friends when one of
them
said they knew a person who had bungee-jumped from a local
bridge in the
middle of traffic. The conversation grew more heated and at
least 10 men
trooped along the walkway of the bridge at 4:30 AM. Upon a
rrival at the
midpoint of the bridge they discovered that no one had brought a
bungee
rope. Bingham, who had continued drinking, volunteered and
pointed out
that a coil of line man's cable, lay near by. They secured one
end around
Bingham's leg and then tied the other to the bridge. His fall
lasted 40
feet before the cable tightened and tore his foot off at the
ankle. He
miraculously survived his fall into the icy water and was
rescued by two
nearby fishermen. Bingham's foot was never located.

AND THE WINNER IS...
Zookeeper Friedrich Riesfeldt (
Paderborn, Germany) fed his constipated elephant 22 doses of
animal
laxative and more than a bushel of berries, figs and prunes
before the
plugged-up pachyderm finally got relief.
Investigators say ill-fated
Friedrich, 46, was attempting to give the ailing elephant an
olive oil
enema when the relieved beast unloaded.
The sheer force of the
elephant's unexpected de fecation knocked Mr. Riesfeldt to the
ground
where he struck his head on a rock as the elephant continued to
evacuate
200 pounds of dung on top of him.
It seems to be just one of thos e
freak accidents that proves... 'Shit happens'

A Quickie in the Bushes

There are two statues in a park; one of a nude
man and one of a nude woman.   They had been facing each other across a pathway for a hundred years, when one day an angel comes down from the sky and, with a single gesture,  brings the two to life.

The angel tells them, "As a reward for being
so patient through a hundred blazing summers and dismal winters, you have been given life for thirty minutes to do what you've wished to do the most."

He looks at her, she looks at him, and they go
running behind the shrubbery.

The angel waits patiently as the bushes rustle
and giggling ensues. After fifteen minutes, the two return, out of breath and laughing.

The angel tells them, "Um, you have fifteen
minutes left, would you care to do it again?"

He asks her "Shall we?"

She eagerly replies, "Oh, yes, let's!

But let's change positions. This time, I'll hold the  pigeon down and you shit on its head."

Idle Thoughts of a Retiree's Wandering Mind

I planted some bird seed.  A bird came up.  Now I don't know  what to feed it.

AUNTY SHARON ...

A teacher gave her class of 11 year olds an assignment: To get their parent to tell them a story with a moral at the end of it. The next day the kids came back and one by one began to tell their stories.
Ashley said, 'My father's a farmer and we have a lot of egg laying hens.. One time we were taking our eggs to market in a basket on the front seat of the car when we hit a big bump in the road and all the eggs got broken.'

'What's the moral of that story?' asked the teacher.

'Don't put all your eggs in one basket!'

'Very good,' said the teacher.

Next little Sarah raised her hand and said, 'Our family are farmers too.. But we raise chickens for the meat market. One day we had a dozen eggs, but when they hatched we only got ten live chicks, and the moral to this story is, 'Don't count your chickens before they're hatched'.'

'That was a fine story Sarah.'

Little Johnny, do you have a story to share?'

'Yes. My daddy told me this story about my Aunty Sharon who was a RAF flight engineer on a plane in the Gulf War and her plane got hit. She had to bail out over enemy territory and all she had was a bottle of whisky, a machine gun and a machete. She drank the whisky on the way down so it wouldn't break and then she landed right in the middle of 100 Iraqi soldiers. She killed seventy of them with the machine gun until she ran out of ammunition. Then she killed twenty more with the machete until the blade broke. And then she killed the last ten with her bare hands.'

'Good heavens, that's some story,' said the horrified teacher, 'what kind of moral did your daddy tell you from that horrible story?'

'Stay the f**k away from Aunty Sharon when she's been drinking.'

Unbelievable

The husband leans over and asks his wife, 'Do you remember the first time we had sex together over fifty years ago? We went behind the village tavern where you leaned against the back fence and I made love to you.'

Yes, she says, 'I remember it well.'

OK,' he says, 'How about taking a stroll around there again and we can do it for old time's sake?'

Oh Jim, you old devil, that sounds like a crazy, but good idea!'

A police officer sitting in the next booth heard their conversation and, having a chuckle to himself, he thinks to himself, I've got to see these two old-timers having sex against a fence. I'll just keep an eye on them so there's no trouble. So he follows them.

The elderly couple walks haltingly along, leaning on each other for support aided by walking sticks. Finally, they get to the back of the tavern and make their way to the fence. The old lady lifts her skirt and the old man drops his trousers. As she leans against the fence, the old man moves in. Then suddenly they erupt into the most furious sex that the policeman has ever seen. This goes on for about ten minutes while both are making loud noises and moaning and screaming. Finally, they both collapse, panting on the ground.

The policeman is amazed. He thinks he has learned something about life and old age that he didn't know.

After about half an hour of lying on the ground recovering, the old couple str uggle to their feet and put their clothes back on. The policeman, is still watching and thinks to himself, this is truly amazing, I've got to ask them what their secret is.

So, as the couple passes, he says to them,' Excuse me, but that was something else. You must've had a fantastic sex life together. Is there some sort of secret to this?'

Shaking, the old man is barely able to reply, 'Fifty years ago that wasn't an electric fence.

The high cost of living

The price of Gas versus Printer Ink

All these examples do NOT imply that gasoline is cheap; it just illustrates how outrageous some prices are....

You will be really shocked by the last one! (At least, I was...)

Compared with Gasoline......

Think a gallon of gas is expensive?

This makes one think, and also puts things in perspective.

Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 ... $10.32 per gallon

Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 ..........$9.52 per gallon

Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 .... $10.17 per gallon

Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 ......... $10.00 per gallon

Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 ....... $33.60 per gallon

Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 .... $178.13 per gallon

Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 .. $123.20 per gallon

Whiteout 7 oz $1.39 ....... . $25.42 per gallon

Scope 1.5 oz $0.99 .....$84.48 per gallon

And this is the REAL KICKER...

Evian water 9 oz $1.49..$21.19 per gallon! $21.19 for WATER and the buyers don't even know the source

(Evian spelled backwards is Naive.)

Ever wonder why printers are so cheap?
So they have you hooked for the ink.
Someone calculated the cost of the ink at............... (you won't believe it....but it is true........)
$5,200 a gal. (five thousand two hundred dollars)

So, the next time you're at the pump,be glad your car doesn't run on water, Scope, or Whiteout, Pepto Bismol, Nyquil or God forbid, Printer Ink!

Just a little humor to help ease the pain of your next trip to the pump...

And - If you don't pass this along to at least one person, your muffler will fall off!!

Okay, your muffler won't really fall off...but, you might run out of toilet paper

A man with a pegleg, hook hand and...

A man with a pegleg, hook hand and an eyepatch went to apply to be a pirate.
Interviewer: How did you get that pegleg?
Pirate: Arrr. I got me leg shot off during the first world war.
Interviewer: How did you get that hook?
Pirate: I got me hand cut off by a big knife.
Interviewer: What about your eyepatch?
Pirate: It was a rainy afternoon and I looked up into the sky and a bird crapped in me eye.
Interviewer: And that put your eye out?
Pirate: No, it was the day after I got me hook.

Who's your best friend?

Without a doubt, it's your dog, not your wife

FW: What Do Retired People Do All Day?

What Do Retired People Do All Day?

Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting.
Well, for example, the other day my wife and I went into town and went into a shop. We were only in there for about 5 minutes. When we came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket.
We went up to him and said, 'Come on man, how about giving a senior citizen a break?' He ignored us and continued writing the ticket.
I called him a Nazi turd. He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn tires.

So my wife called him a shit head. He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started a third ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote.

Personally, we didn't care. We came into town by bus. We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired. It's important at our age.
Keep on smilin' !

RETIREMENT PLANNING FOR 2008

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago,
it would now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1000.00.

With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left.

If you had purchased $1000 of Delta Air Lines stock
you would have $49.00 left.

But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago,
drank all the beer,
then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling refund,
you would have had $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice
is to drink heavily and recycle.

It's called the 401-Keg

Suicidal Muslims...

Everyone seems to be wondering why Muslim terrorists are so quick to commit suicide...Let's see now...
No Jesus
No Christmas
No television
No cheerleaders

No Nude Women
No car races
No football
No soccer
No golf
No tailgate parties
No K-Mart
No pork BBQ
No hot dogs
No burgers
No chocolate chip cookies
No lobster
No shellfish, or even frozen fish sticks
No nachos
No Beer nuts
No Beer!!!!!!!!
Rags for clothes and towels for hats.
Constant pain because they get sick and there are no doctors.
Constant wailing from the guy in the tower.
More than one wife.
You can't shave.
Your wives can't shave.
You can't shower to wash off the smell of camel dung.
The women have to wear baggy dresses and veils at all times.
Your bride is picked by someone else.
She smells just like your donkey.
But your donkey has a better disposition.

Then they tell you that when you die it all gets better!

I mean, really, is there a mystery here?

Happy New Year...

Well...We made it through another year mostly unscathed. Mostly none the worse for wear...the tomater plants are still yielding their precious little red gifts much to the dismay of my older

and less wiser sibling who seems to think living in squalor is the normal state of being and can't quite overcome his social disconnect with the world. After all...the only things he can grow are fungal spores between his toes, plaque on his teeth and old. As jealous as he is of his younger brother's obvious talents in contrast to his own limited abilities, I can't really judge him harshly as he has led a tortuous life filled with failure and despair... He use to drink to excess but was forced to quit by the man...now he just sits in judgement of other's.
Well we have a new year ahead of us and only the most contentous election to come along since the Supremes anointed George the fecond to office in 2000. Let me see...do I want the coked out neophite, the embattled power whore or any one of the republican hacks that represent the worst cadre of worthless propagandists to pop up in the political whack-a-polemic contest since the dawn of man...
I suppose I will vote for Hillary just so I can see the likes of Bill O'rally and Shame O'hammy's head explode at the prospet of another Clinton in the Whitehouse...After the longest 8 years I have ever endured she couldn't possibly screw up any more than thay have...

ONIONS & CHRISTMAS TREES

A family is at the dinner table.  The son asks his father, "Dad, how many Kinds of boobs are there?"

The father, surprised, answers, "Well, son, there are three kinds of breasts.  In her 20's, a woman's breasts are like melons, round and firm. In her 30's to 40's, they are like pears, still nice but hanging a bit. After 50, they are like onions."

"Onions?" the son asked.

"Yes.  You see them and they make you cry." the father replied.

This infuriated his wife and daughter so the daughter said, "Mum, how many kinds of 'willies' are there?"

The mother smiles and answers, "Well dear, a man goes through three phases.
In his 20's, his willy is like an oak tree, mighty and hard.  In his 30's & 40's, it is like a birch, flexible but reliable.  After he is 50+, it is like a Christmas tree."

"A Christmas tree?" the daughter asked.

"Yes, dear - dead from the root up and the balls are just for decoration."

THIS IS HAPPENING RIGHT HERE IN OUR OWN COUNTRY!

We Must Stop This Immediately!

Have you noticed that stairs are getting steeper . Groceries are heavier . And, everything is farther away. Yesterday I walked to the corner and I was dumbfounded to discover how long our street had become! And, you know, people are less considerate now, especially the young ones. They speak in whispers all the time! If you ask them to speak up they just keep repeating themselves, endlessly mouthing the same silent message until they're red in the face! What do they think I am, a lip reader? I also think they are much younger than I was at the same age. On the other hand, people my own age are so much older than I am. I ran into an old friend the other day and she has aged so much that she didn't even recognize me. I got to thinking about the poor dear while I was combing my hair this morning, and in doing so, I glanced at my own reflection .  Well, REALLY NOW - even mirrors are not made the way they used to be!

Another thing, everyone drives so fast these days! You're risking life and limb if you happen to pull onto the freeway in front of them. All I can say is, their brakes must wear out awfully fast, the way I see them screech and swerve in my rear view mirror. Clothing manufacturers are less civilized these days. Why else would they suddenly start labeling a size 10 or 12 dress as 18 or 20? Do they think no one notices?
The people who make bathroom scales are pulling the same prank. Do they think I actually "believe" the number I see on that dial? HA! I would never let myself weigh that much! Just who do these people think they're fooling? ?I'd like to call up someone in authority to report what's going on -- but the telephone company is in on the conspiracy too: they've printed the phone books in such small type that no one could ever find a number in there!

All I can do is pass along this warning: WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!

Unless something drastic happens, pretty soon everyone will have to suffer these awful indignities.

PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO WE CAN GET THIS CONSPIRACY STOPPED!

PS: I am sending this to you in a larger font size, because something has happened to my computer's fonts - they are smaller than they once were.

gentle thoughts

Gentle thoughts for today.

Birds of a feather flock together and crap on your car.

A penny saved is a government oversight.

The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the right time, but also to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.

The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight, because by then your body and your fat have gotten to be really good friends.

The easiest way to find something lost around the house is to buy a replacement

He who hesitates is probably right.

Did you ever notice: The Roman Numerals for forty (40) are ' XL.'

If you think there is good in everybody, you haven't met everybody.

If you can smile when things go wrong, you have someone in mind to blame.

The sole purpose of a child's middle name is so he can tell when he's really in trouble.

There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take time to look for it. For example I am sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt.

Did you ever notice: When you put the 2 words
'The' and 'IRS' together it spells 'Theirs.'

I hope these were comforting to you

Black and White

You could hardly see for all the snow,

Spread the rabbit ears as far as they go.

Pull a chair up to the TV set,

"Good Night, David. Good Night, Chet."

My Mom used to cut chicken, chop eggs and spread mayo on the same cutting board with the same knife and no bleach, but we didn't seem to get food poisoning.

My Mom used to defrost hamburger on the counter AND I used to eat it raw sometimes, too. Our school sandwiches were wrapped in wax paper in a brown paper bag, not in icepack coolers, but I can't remember getting e.coli

Almost all of us would have rather gone swimming in the brook instead of a pristine pool (talk about boring); no beach closures then.

The term cell phone would have conjured up a phone in a jail cell, and a pager was the school PA system.

We all took gym, not PE; and risked permanent injury with a pair of high top Ked's (only worn in gym) instead of having cross-training athletic shoes with air cushion soles and built in light reflectors. I can't recall any injuries but they must have happened because they tell us how much safer we are now.

Flunking gym was not an option...even for stupid kids! I guess PE must be much harder than gym.

Speaking of school, we all said prayers and sang the national anthem, and staying in detention after school caught all sorts of negative attention.

We must have had horribly damaged psyches. What an archaic health system we had then. Remember school nurses? Ours wore a hat and everything.

I thought that I was supposed to accomplish something before I was allowed to be proud of myself.

I just can't recall how bored we were without computers, Play Station, Nintendo, X-box or 270 digital TV cable stations.

Oh yeah...and where was the Benadryl and sterilization kit when I got that bee sting? I could have been killed!

We played 'king of the hill' on piles of dirt and gravel left on vacant construction sites, and when we got hurt, Mom pulled out the 48-cent bottle of Mercurochrome (kids liked it better because it didn't sting like Iodine did) and then we got our butt spanked.

Now it's a trip to the emergency room, followed by a 10-day dose of a $99 bottle of antibiotics, and then Mom calls the attorney to sue the contractor for leaving a horribly vicious pile of dirt and gravel where it was such a threat.

We didn't act up at the neighbor's house either because if we did, we got our butt spanked there and then we got butt spanked again when we got home.

I recall Tommy Hartley from next door coming over and doing his tricks on the front stoop, just before he fell off. Little did his Mom know that she could have owned our house. Instead, she picked him up and swatted him for being such a goof. It was a neighborhood run amuck.

To top it off, not a single person I knew had ever been told that they were from a dysfunctional family. How could we possibly have known that? What was one, anyway?

We needed to get into group therapy and anger management classes? We were obviously so duped by so many societal ills, that we didn't even notice that the entire country wasn't taking Prozac! How did we ever survive?

LOVE TO ALL OF US WHO SHARED THIS ERA, AND TO ALL WHO DIDN'T- SORRY FOR WHAT YOU MISSED. I WOULDN'T TRADE IT FOR ANYTHING

It is important for men to remember

It is important for men to remember that, as women grow older, it becomes harder for them to maintain the same quality of housekeeping as when they were younger. When you notice this, try not to yell at them. Some are oversensitive, and there's nothing worse than an oversensitive woman. My name is William. Let me relate how I handled the situation with my wife, Peggy. When I retired a few years ago, it became necessary for Peggy to get a full-time job along with her part-time job, both for extra income and for the health benefits that we needed. Shortly after she started working, I noticed she was beginning to show her age. I usually get home from the golf club about the same time she gets home from work. Although she knows how hungry I am, she almost always says she has to rest for half an hour or so before she starts dinner. I don't yell at her. Instead, I tell her to take her time and just wake me when she gets dinner on the table. I generally have lunch in the Men's Grill at the club so eating out is not reasonable. I'm ready for some home-cooked grub when I hit that door. She used to do the dishes as soon as we finished eating. But now it's not unusual for them to sit on the table for several hours after dinner. I do what I can by diplomatically reminding her several times each evening that they won't clean themselves. I know she really appreciates this, as it does seem to motivate her to get them done before she goes to bed. ;Another symptom of aging is complaining, I think. For example, she will say that it is difficult for her to find time to pay the monthly bills during her lunch hour. But, boys, we take 'em for better or worse, so I just smile and offer encouragement. I tell her to stretch it out over two or even three days. That way she won't have to rush so much. I also remind her that missing lunch completely now and then wouldn't hurt her any (if you know what I mean). I like to think tact is one of my strong points. When doing simple jobs, she seems to think she needs more rest periods. She had to take a break when she was only half finished mowing the yard. I try not to make a scene. I'm a fair man. I tell her to fix herself a nice, big, cold glass of freshly squeezed lemonade and just sit for a while. And, as long as she is making one for herself, she may as well make one for me too. I know that I probably look like a saint in the way I support Peggy. I'm not saying that showing this much consideration is easy. Many men will find it difficult. Some will find it impossible! Nobody knows better than I do how frustrating women get as they get older. However, guys, even if you just use a little more tact and less criticism of your aging wife because of this article, I will consider that writing it was well worthwhile. After all, we are put on this earth to help each other. Signed, William EDITOR'S NOTE: William died suddenly on May 27 of a perforated rectum. The police report says he was found with a Callaway extra-long 50-inch Big Bertha Driver II golf club jammed up his rear end, with barely 5 inches of grip showing and a sledge hammer lying nearby. His wife Peggy was arrested and charged with murder. The all-woman jury took only 15 minutes to find her Not Guilty, accepting her defense that WIlliam somehow, without looking, accidentally sat down on his golf club.

Destiny

We all had dreams and aspirations...goals, benchmarks, ideas and ideals...unfortunately the pressures of adulthood and responsibility killed all these things and left me a hulking mass, disinclined to participate in the simplest of human interactions...I became a natural born crueler...
